Drew Anderson is a Brooklyn-based comedian, writer, and producer. In the last few years, he has contributed writing for the popular party game, Cards Against Humanity, episodes of the Story Pirates podcast, and social content for Reductress, McSweeney’s, and NPR. Drew was a contributing writer for the game show podcast WikiHole produced by Wondery/SmartLess Media & hosted by D’Arcy Carden. He co-created/wrote the Audible Original musical series “Underdogs: A Musical” (starring Alan Cumming, Gaten Matarazzo, and Bebe Neuwirth) about a group of high school theater kids (premiered March 2026). Additionally, he’s written on “The Big Silly Trivia Game” hosted by Natalie Shine and the Hulu/Disney+ show, “Get Real.”
Drew’s comedy pilot, “Salem,” which he co-wrote with Julia Shiplett, was named in Out in Hollywood’s inaugural Out Loud list as one of the best unproduced pilots by queer writers.
As a performer, Drew debuted his solo hour, “Ready for Bed,” in 2019 at the Off-Broadway Ars Nova theater. Currently, he’s co-producing an ongoing series of comedic live reads of short-lived Bravo reality classics. The show has been wildly popular and has been written up in ID Magazine and Interview Magazine.
Drew’s short film “AC Unit,” which he starred in and co-wrote with Hilton Dresden, received the Frameline Completion Fund Grant and debuted at the Frameline Film Festival in San Francisco. The film also screened at Seattle Queer Film Festival, Vancouver Queer Film Festival, Rooftop Films (NYC), Oslo/Fusion, NewFest, and was named a Vimeo Staff Pick.
